Why are we attracted to one product over another? Colour—whether architectural or in products— accounts for 60 percent of our response to an object or a place.

Do you often find yourself in a battle with colours – which is the colour you really love over which would be more practical for your room? Remember when selecting a colour to consider the mood of a room, plus the ora you’d like to create.

Bear in mind, neutrals, soft colours & cool shades often portray a relatively calming influence. Ideal for those who enjoy a restful & soothing sleeping area for example. To design a more intimate or dramatic feel to a room, consider dabbling with deeper, stronger colours to help create a more striking surrounding.

Colour & Personality come hand and hand, so use your chosen colours to really highlight your flair & Imagination. For those of you who prefer a more sociable feel to your home, BE BOLD, STaNd OuT,  Play Around with Shapes/ Patterns,  inject that bit of colour to really put your stamp on your home. Warmer, contrasting and somewhat brighter colours can help portray a familiar atmosphere, in comparison deeper blue-greens and neutrals will give more of a formal ambiance.

When designing your little one’s room – whether you choose it to be an active and exciting energy or more of an orderly and restful feeling. Be careful not to overstimulate your children with intensely bright shades. You may not know it, but some brighter colours can lead to unrest and irritability. And we all know that that combination does not make for a happy haven.
